Love it here. Been visiting since 2021. Visited 3 times. Park is clean and well maintained. Clean bathrooms with hot water. They spray for bugs so biting bugs especially aren’t bad at all. Nice maintained hiking trails. Beautiful spacious campsites. Friendly accommodating staff who are always professional. Acorn trail is my favorite camping loop. This year we visited the nature center. It’s amazing. It’s worth the trip to the park! Very helpful guides at the nature center too.

Beautiful campground with a cute view on the river. Be prepared, there's a looot of insects, but apart from that it was awesome. Great showers and the campsites are big and shady.

Literally the cleanest camp bathrooms I have ever seen - I was impressed. This is a fun location. Canoeing the water trail was fun (and the rentals were much cheaper than other companies in the area), the nature center had great critters and enthusiastic rangers that took lots of time with our crew, warm showers, lots of shade, & ice cream at the camp store is a nice touch. 30 minutes from Assateague. You have to leave the camp if you want some bigger hiking trails, but you don't have to go far. Maybe bring your wood in from nearby, though, since our friends that bought it at the camp store couldn't get their fire going because the wood was wet and full of sap. Maybe they just got a bad bag? But still, we'd definitely camp here again.
