We last minute decided on gong to this place, !!!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO BOOK ONLINE RESERVATION!!!!
Luckily had a parking spot right by the door. Had someone walk out to hold the door open before we hit the stairs leading up. Was lead immediately to our table on the outside porch. BRING A SWEATER LADIES. They stressed online during reservations about this due to the breeze and temperature of 7pm of nature by the water to enjoy the sunset.
Our waiter was Luke. He was amazing. Explained the menu to us, friendly and professional. Also a side "photographer" around 730pm 😂
Sitting on the porch, it's 5 tables of only 2. Very private settings but also very romantic and personal.
I ordered Hunter's Chicken. The sauce reminded me of a teriyaki like. VERY GOOD! My Husband got the filet topped with lump crab meat. Everything was perfect.

Amazing! My family and I have been coming to OCMD for almost 25 years. My husband and I stumbled upon The Hobbit last year and we could wait to return this year. Everything about this place is incredible….the food, the service, the view! The crab cakes were the best I’ve ever had with ZERO filler! Just all lump crab meat! There aren’t many new places for us to try here, but we are so glad we found this and it has quickly become one of our favorites. We will def be returning each year!

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience at The Hobbit! My wife and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary here, and it exceeded all expectations. We were graciously seated next to another anniversary couple, who surprised us with a round of drinks before they left—a delightful touch that added to the already enchanting atmosphere. The service was exceptional, with our server being incredibly attentive throughout the evening. As for the drinks, they were simply amazing—expertly crafted cocktails that perfectly complemented our meal. Each sip was a delight, enhancing the flavors of our dishes and elevating the overall experience. And let's not forget the food, which was nothing short of perfection. From the heavenly crust on the duck to the fresh and flaky salmon, and the tender, perfectly seasoned lollipop lamb chops, every bite was a culinary delight. And the baked oysters? Simply divine. As a local, I regret not discovering this gem sooner. Without a doubt, The Hobbit has earned its place as the best dining experience I've had thus far. Five stars all around!
