Things to Do in OCMD While Visiting for Oceans Calling

Oceans Calling is our favorite new music festival in our Ocean City, MD beach town. The 3-day festival from September 27th to 29th is followed by Country Calling, a country music lovers concert the next Friday and Saturday. If you’re in town for either of these incredible events, know that the fun doesn’t stop at the festival grounds! Ocean City, MD, and our coastal towns are full of attractions, sights to see, and the best food, of course.

Explore the Boardwalk

While the festivals have plenty of the best Boardwalk attractions within the gates, the boards continue to 27th Street with tons of delicious grab-and-go food, surf shops, souvenirs, restaurants, and more. Plus, you can book your stay at one of Ocean City’s boardwalk hotels for ocean views and easy access to the concert.

Relax on the Beach

Here’s hoping for good weather to enjoy the sandy beaches on Maryland’s Coast! It would be criminal to visit and not spend some time relaxing on the beach. If you’re looking to get away from the crowds, head to Assateague Island State & National Parks with beautiful views of the ocean and the bay, wildlife encounters with many birds and wild horses, plus walking trails to embrace the scenery.

Try Local Seafood

If you’re not from the area and you’re a seafood lover, you can’t miss out on trying some of the best local seafood! Visit spots for fresh Maryland crab cakes, oysters, and more at Worcester County’s favorite restaurants.

Visit Nearby Towns

While Ocean City will be packed with concert-goers, sneak away for a day or night spent in one of the other coastal towns in Worcester County, MD. Berlin is America’s Coolest Small Town with a charming main street and excellent restaurants. Ocean Pines is a residential area on the waterways that provides all the comfort of home during your stay. Snow Hill and Pocomoke City both embrace the history of Maryland’s Coast with main street boutiques, sights along the Pocomoke River, and close-knit community charm.

Experience the Nightlife

As the sun sets, and the artists leave the stage, you don’t have to be done for the night! Ocean City will still be open with famous nightlife options. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back bar, a lively nightclub, or live music, there’s something for everyone. Several venues like Fager’s Island and Seacrets add to the experience with bayside views and multiple live music options.

Oceans Calling and Country Calling is just the beginning of an incredible Ocean City, MD vacation. Explore Maryland’s Coast and we guarantee you won’t regret it!
